| Junction Temperature and Thermal Resistance |

Junction temperature and thermal resistance are main parameters of LED thermal characters. The junction temperature is the temperature of LEDs' PN junction, which greatly influence LEDs' optical and electrical performance,e.g. the luminous flux, spectral distribution, forward voltage,optical light output ratio, and so on. The thermal resistance is computed as the difference in temperature between two points divided by the heat flowing dissipation between them. Reduction of the thermal resistance provides a common approach to reduce the operating junction temperatures of LEDs.
